Visible Mending - Darning

Service Description

Join us to learn the super creative, fun skill that is hand darning. This age old technique is used to mend holes and reinforce thinning areas of knitted texitles – socks and jumpers. We’ll be teaching you basic darning plus how to be creative with your colours and technique to make your darn truly unique and beautifully visible. Please bring along: - a holey knitted garment to mend - yarn if you have some, we have a small selection - a darning egg or mushroom This class is also available paired with the Sashiko Workshop for a full day of Visible Mending fun! We also offer subsidised spots for those on Universal Credit or Job Seekers Allowance, please get in touch to find out more about this.
