This class is all about your fave jeans that need a glow up! Repairing jeans is our most popular job so here’s a rare opportunity to find out how we do it! Chub rub, crotch blowout, too tight, too loose, shorten, knee patches – it’s all possible to mend. And better still to mend it VISIBLY so your investment, commitment and love for your beloved jeans is on show for all to see and admire! You’ll have the chance to learn how to patch and darn your denim, we’ll show you how to take up a hem and how to take them in or let them out in style. We’ll also be demonstrating the mindful skill of Sashiko stitching to breathe new life into your denim. Sashiko is the beautiful art of mending and reinforcing worn areas of clothing using patches and rows of little running stitches (sashiko literally means ‘little stabs’) Please bring along: your sewing project your sewing kit - we do have pins and scissors if you forget plus gorgeous fabrics and kits for sale If you’re an absolute beginner book a one-to-one session and within no time you’ll be ready to join this workshop! We also offer subsidised spots for those on Universal Credit or Job Seekers Allowance, please get in touch to find out more about this.
